Afshin was born in Tehran in May 1964; he was a keen Chess and Football player from a very young age.  He recalls every moment of Iran’s games in world cup 1978 especially Iran’s draw with Scotland, little did he know that he would be studying in Scotland one year later leaving Iran at the age of 15.  A graduate in Computer Studies Afshin started to write about Iran football in the late nineties, he also works with persianmirror.com as a football correspondent.
